Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Kelly Ann O’Dwyer, of Shavertown, PA, beloved wife of 22 years of Joseph C. Reilly and loving mother of Lucille A. Reilly on October 19, 2026.

Kelly was born November 9, 1957 in Manchester, CT to Edward T. O’Dwyer Jr. and Marjorie Rowe O’Dwyer (both deceased) and raised in Connecticut.

Following high school graduation, she enlisted in the US Army. She served with the 11th AD SIG BTN in Eibensbach, Germany from 1977 – 1981, reaching the rank of SP5.

After receiving an honorable discharge, Kelly began working at GE in sales, which led her to Pennsylvania. Later she began a career in call centers working at Benco Dental, Pride, Keystone Automotive Operations and for the last 18 years as a technical support specialist at Verizon.

Her dedication and determination earned her success throughout her career but most importantly led her to Pennsylvania. It was there at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Danville, she met Joe and together they brought Lucy into this world. That was her life’s most prideful role yet.

Kelly was a fearlessly fabulous woman, who loved deeply everyone who crossed her path. To say she would go to the end of the world for those she cared for would be an understatement. Her dreams were immense and stories of life inspiring. To know her was to love an entire universe inside of her. Charming, sweet, and steadfast Kelly, this world has lost an incredible soul. But what an honor it was to know her. May eternal rest be surrounded with family and a warm backyard fire on a starry night.

“Sometimes the smallest of things take up the most room in your heart.”

We will miss you dearly – always.

Along with her husband Joseph and daughter Lucy, she is survived by her stepdaughter Kristen Reilly Ortega, husband Dave, sisters Kathy O’Dwyer and Edry O’Dwyer, brothers Kevin O’Dwyer and Edward O’Dwyer III and wife Peg. She also leaves behind nieces Alicia O’Dwyer, Caitlin O’Dwyer and Shannon O’Dwyer as well as extended family.

Family and friends may call from 3pm to 5pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, Inc., 140 N. Main Street, Shavertown. A prayer service will begin toward the end of the visitation. Please feel free to wear blue and/or a scarf as Kelly loved both.

Interment Services will be held at 12pm on Friday, October 30, 2026 at St. James Cemetery, 368 Broad Street, Manchester, CT.

Online condolences may be left at www.snowdonfuneralhome.com and www.tierneyfuneralhome.com
