Robert (Bob) Lee Kropp, 93, of Shavertown, passed away Monday, October 12th, 2026 at Allied Services Hospice Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre surrounded by family.

Born in Shavertown, he was the son of the late Edward and Gertrude Kropp.

Robert graduated from Lake Lehman High School, Class of 1950. He served in the Navy during the Korean War, he was a part of the 6th Fleet sailing the Mediterranean Sea. He was also a member of the American Legion Harvey’s Lake Post 967, VFW Kingston Post 283, and the NRA.

Bob loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He also loved going on vacation to Cape May, NJ and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; and daughter, Caroline.

Surviving are his children, Edward Kropp, Shavertown; Theresa Hillman, Shavertown; granddaughter, Cheyanna; brother, Lawrence Kropp, Harrisburg; nieces, nephews, and honorary daughters. He was loved by many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 17th at 10am from St. Therese’s Church, 64 Davis St., Shavertown. Rev. Joseph Pisaneschi will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Friday from 5-7pm at Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown. All are asked to go directly to church on day of funeral.
