Geraldine M. Wall, 74, of Shavertown, passed away Monday, August 30th, 2021 at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre.


Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Buzitsky) Mesaros.


A graduate of Swoyersville High School, Geraldine was a very active member of her church, St. Therese’s in Shavertown. Geraldine volunteered over the years in many ministries at St. Therese’s including: the eucharistic ministry, religious education, bereavement ministry, and prayer shawl ministry. 


Geraldine adored her husband, and cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of her favorite hobbies included: crocheting, reading, solving puzzles in her puzzle books, watching her favorite TV shows, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Penguins and the local Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Geraldine also loved cooking and baking, especially around the holidays, and made the best pierogi and chocolate chip cookies around!


In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her infant brother Michael.


Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Ralph Wall; children Ken Wall, Swoyersville; Melissa Wall, Kingston; Lisa Oller (Todd), Leitchfield, KY; and Kimberly Houck (Steven), Dacula, GA; grandchildren Katrina and Connor Houck, Kassy Wall, and Denise Shaw (Chris); and great-grandchildren Lily and Boon. 


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 10th at 10am from St. Therese’s Church, 64 Davis Street, Shavertown. Rev. James Paisley will officiate. 


The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at River Street Manor for their thoughtful and attentive care of Geraldine.
